Charlottetown Community Church is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Grant Writer to support our efforts in securing funding for our programs, community outreach initiatives, and operational needs. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing abilities, strategic thinking, and a strong understanding of Canadian and international grant acquisition processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Research & Identification – Conduct thorough research to identify grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and private donors that align with the mission of Charlottetown Community Church.
- Proposal Development & Submission – Prepare compelling, well-structured grant applications, ensuring clarity, precision, and adherence to funder requirements and guidelines.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management – Establish and maintain relationships with funding organizations, donors, and relevant stakeholders to maximize grant opportunities.
- Compliance & Reporting – Ensure that all grant applications meet compliance standards, track submission deadlines, and fulfil reporting obligations as required by funders.
- Fundraising Strategy – Collaborate with church leadership to align grant funding strategies with long-term sustainability and community impact goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
-Proficiency in English and a foreign language like Spanish, Afrikaans or those spoken in the Philippines or Latin America
-Proven experience in grant writing, nonprofit fundraising, or related fields.
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to craft persuasive and structured narratives that effectively convey the mission and impact of Charlottetown Community Church.
- Knowledge of Canadian grant compliance standards and best practices.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and deadline management.
Key Details:
- Part-Time/Flexi-Time: Work hours are flexible and can be tailored to suit your schedule.
- Could be either Employment or Subcontract, or other contracts.
- From 20 to 60 hours a week
- From minimum wage to $45 per hour, depending on skills and experience
